We recently celebrated my son's 23rd birthday at Malbec, and it truly exceeded all expectations. Our first time eating here. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and excellent customer service. The ambiance was perfect--elegant yet cozy, with a refined, modern feel that made it ideal for a special occasion. Soft lighting, comfortable seating, and a sophisticated atmosphere set the stage for a memorable evening. The service was exceptional, with our server being attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. He offered great recommendations, and everything arrived promptly and exactly as we had ordered. The steak and salmon were cooked to perfection--tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The appetizers (highly recommend the empanadas) and sides complemented the meal perfectly, and we were even treated to a surprise dessert to help celebrate my son's birthday. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. If you're looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion, I highly recommend this steakhouse. Between the impeccable service, amazing food, and the inviting atmosphere, it was a perfect choice for my son's birthday celebration.

Located near the South Lake District, plenty on street parking but there is structure parking about a block away. The decor is ice but importantly, it felt inviting. Great service and our server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and had great suggestions including the wine. The empanadas were great, decided on 2 orders for 5 people, the spinach and cheese was the winner. Several dishes were ordered and shared family style. The ribeye steak was excellent. The rice with seafood and chorizo (Argentinian version of paella) was tasty plus everything was tender including the octopus. The risotto with mushrooms won the evening especially you get it with scallops. Everything was great and will definitely return. The 5 stars is for the food but I have to say this place knows how to treat guests.

This Argentinian spot is a must-visit! The steak was perfectly cooked--juicy and flavorful. The calamari / veggie app was perfectly crispy, the chimichurri was fresh and vibrant, and the empanadas were golden, flaky perfection. Bold flavors and top-notch craftsmanship in every bite!

We stumbled upon Malbec Argentinean Cuisine while visiting Forman's Whiskey Tavern next door, and I'm so glad we did! The restaurant looked intriguing, so we decided to give it a try--and it was such a pleasant surprise. We started with the beef empanadas, which were absolutely delicious. They were perfectly made with a generous amount of filling, and I savored every bite. For my main dish, I had the seafood pasta, which was packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. My boyfriend went for the roasted chicken with roasted vegetables, and he was equally impressed--it was tender and flavorful. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great too. It was clean, chic, and had dim lighting that set a nice, cozy tone. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely come back. If you're in the area, I highly recommend giving Malbec a try!

So so good. Food, ambiance, service all great. I've been to another Argentinian place here in Pasadena and Malbec is still my fave. Although it's Argentinian I feel like there are some Peruvian overlaps. Either way it's really good!

Going back to my roots... My hometown of Buenos Aires and its wonderful Argentinian dishes; in USA. Ordered my favorite empanadas and Beef Ribs Steak. Love the aroma and taste of the meat. We were sat on the other side of the restaurant ( I believe its a newly expanded room of the dining room ) The decor was beautiful, elegant, simple, yet sophisticated. To end our meal, we ordered their Flan with Dulce de Leche. Outstanding.

Clean spot that isn't overly formal but still great for a gathering or date night. We came for the Dine LA lunch menu and ordered: + Camarones con proscuitto: The shrimp was a bit too salty with the prosciutto wrap but thankfully the salad had citrus bits to balance it out. The dressing leaned more acidic than I would've liked so I didn't completely finish this. + Mejillones: Small bowl with lots of sauce. My boyfriend liked to dip the complimentary bread with this. + Burrata: This was the fave dish for our table out of all the appetizers. Not overly rich but good amount of creaminess. + Lenguado: Large filling plate. Everything was well balanced so it's a good choice for those not wanting an overly heavy dish. + Manicotti de Carne: Very rich and flavorful. Good but will leave you stuffed. Note the Dine LA desserts didn't match their online menu. I don't remember the Spanish name for these but here's what we chose. Both were very sweet though, so we couldn't fully finish because we aren't those with a sweet tooth; Pear: Cooked in some kind of sweet syrup. Interesting concept but the syrup was very sweet too. Chocolate/caramel cake: Rich and THICK. As soon as you cut into this with a fork, you'll know what you're in for. It's dense with lots of flavor. Good if you're looking for a sweet cake. Neat decorations with more chocolate and caramel. Overall, I liked this place and the Dine LA lunch menu met the price point as a good deal. But the seasoning/sweetness on some of the dishes leaned heavier than I liked, so 4 stars for me. I could still see myself back and service was great. Note parking is street but the side streets aren't too busy to where you could still find spaces not too far.

We made the reservation on open table, but we arrived twenty minutes early. They still took us and led us to a table that was designated for our group. As soon as we were seated, someone brought us water glasses. That's amazing service if you ask me. We ordered the paella, ceviche trio, the beef that was breaded and pounded thin (I forgot its name), and the salmon. Everything came soon enough and we were all so satisfied tucking into our food. My husband said his paella was ******** amazing (insert your choice of expletive) and scraped everything off the little pan. You don't understand - my husband is not easy to please but this paella exceeded his standards. I wish I ordered the same thing because he kept grunting throughout the meal. That typically means he's happy with his dish. I wasn't as happy with my Napolitana de Lomo because it was a touch dry and needed a little bit of salt. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it and took home what I couldn't finish. With a little bit of gravy I made, it tasted fantastic. The ceviche trio is a must-order. It comes with these plantain chips and endive leaves. It was light, refreshing, not too spicy, and definitely an entree in its own right. I highly recommend it, especially if you're a ceviche hog like me. We were too stuffed for dessert but the customers at the next table told us to get any of them because they were all great. Maybe for next time! This is hands down one of our family's favorite places to go for a great meal. Everyone will have something they'll like on the menu, even the pickiest toddler, I promise.
